Kathleen Kelley is from Brooklyn, NY and originally from North Carolina. She began her dance training with the Raleigh School of Ballet and North Carolina School of the Arts, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNC-Greensboro with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Psychology. She was the co-artistic director of Labor Force Dances, a NYC-based dance company. Her choreography has been shown at several venues in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York, including the Tank NYC, Triskelion Arts (WAXworks, NYC), Movement Research Open Performance (NYC), Studio AIR (NYC), Durham Arts Council (NC), Saint Mary's School (Raleigh, NC), The Wellness Center for the Arts (Durham, NC), and Coker College (Hartsville, SC). In addition to choreographing for Labor Force Dances, Kathleen has performed lwith Israeli choreographer Deganit Shemy and Malaysian choreographer Mei Yin Ng/Mei-BE whatever.
